Marketing & Communications Officer

Through HIGHUPWEB Academy, our Digital Agency, the Highupweb Driving School, and the Highupweb Foundation, we are committed to empowering individuals through technology, education, and service.

We are seeking a creative, strategic, and results-driven Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee branding, content, communication, and marketing initiatives across all HIGHUPWEB departments. This role requires a multi-skilled professional who can manage social media, craft compelling stories, build community engagement, run campaigns, and support business growth.

Role Overview

As the Marketing & Communications Officer, you will be responsible for shaping how HIGHUPWEB communicates with the world. You will oversee content creation, brand messaging, marketing campaigns, public communication, and community engagement for all HIGHUPWEB entities. You will work closely with our management, media, academic, and web development teams to increase visibility, drive enrollment, enhance customer engagement, and strengthen our social impact.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about storytelling, digital communication, community building, and strategic marketing.


Key Responsibilities

1. HIGHUPWEB Academy

  • Develop and execute communication strategies to promote training programs.

  • Create educational content, student success stories, and program announcements.

  • Support enrollment campaigns through targeted messaging and consistent outreach.

  • Manage communication across WhatsApp, email, social media, and SMS platforms.

2. HIGHUPWEB Digital Agency

  • Develop content that showcases client projects, services, and campaigns.

  • Coordinate communication with clients and prepare marketing materials.

  • Promote agency services through social media, newsletters, and ads.

  • Work with the web team on landing pages, case studies, and social media visuals.

3. Highupweb Driving School

  • Promote driving programs, pricing, and training sessions through digital channels.

  • Oversee local outreach campaigns and produce safety awareness content.

  • Manage communication with students regarding schedules, requirements, and updates.

  • Support monthly enrollment through targeted campaigns and community engagement.

4. Highupweb Foundation

  • Create compelling stories about community impact, beneficiaries, and projects.

  • Promote fundraising campaigns, scholarship opportunities, and outreach events.

  • Manage communication with partners, donors, and volunteers.

  • Document events through photos, videos, and written communication.

5. General Marketing & Communication Duties

  • Manage all HIGHUPWEB social media platforms and ensure consistent posting.

  • Develop monthly content calendars and oversee content creation (text, photo, video).

  • Write press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and organizational announcements.

  • Maintain brand consistency across digital and offline channels.

  • Conduct basic market research and analyze engagement metrics.

  • Plan and manage internal and external communication strategies.

  • Support event planning, promotional activities, and media coordination.

  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Specialist when running campaigns.


What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, content creation, or a related field.

  • Strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills.

  • Ability to create engaging social media content across multiple platforms.

  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, etc.).

  • Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics dashboards.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (preferred).


Bonus Points For

  • Bilingual proficiency (English & French).

  • Experience working in education, digital agencies, driving schools, or nonprofit organizations.

  • Photography, videography, or design experience.
